Gilbert offers enormous fantasy upside, but his floor has been awfully low. He'll try and get back on the good side against the Royals in Kansas City on Friday.

Prielipp has allowed one or two earned runs in all five of his starts to date, but he has only a 1-2 record to show for it. His eight strikeouts tonight were a new high. He's definitely a mixed-league option at this point, but he's not a great play in a one-start week against the Red Sox in Fenway next weekend.

Most three-plus inning saves comes in 11-2 games, but not tonight. With Abner Uribe, Trevor Megill and Aaron Ashby all working last night, the Brewers just stuck with Patrick as he allowed one hit, walked none and struck out three over the final four innings. He wound up throwing 52 pitches on three days' rest in his third straight relief appearance. It looks like the Brewers intend to keep him in the pen going forward, making him pretty useless in mixed leagues. He'll remain quite valuable to his major league team, though.
Logan Henderson earned his first win of the season with a strong five-inning performance against the Twins, striking out seven and posting a 2.81 ERA over his recent starts.
Henderson left up 2-1, and Chad Patrick held down the fort for the rest of the game. Henderson has a 2.81 ERA and a 20/2 K/BB in 16 innings over three starts since being recalled by the Brewers. With Patrick in the pen, Henderson should survive Brandon Woodruff's return and remain a key piece of the Milwaukee rotation and a valuable fantasy starter going forward.

Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez homered in the first, and Christian Walker and Zach Cole went deep in the fourth. Aside from that, deGrom allowed just one other hit and no walks. He struck out four. It's the second time deGrom has allowed four homers, the other time occurring in 2017 against the Cardinals. Randal Grichuk, Paul DeJong, Dexter Fowler and Jedd Gyorko were responsible then. DeGrom dropped to 3-3 with a 3.02 ERA. He'll face the Angels next week.
Bryan Abreu earned a four-out save against the Rangers, recording hard-hit outs in the eighth and ninth innings.
It took both Enyel De Los Santos and Bryan King to get though the seventh tonight. AJ Blubaugh opened the eighth with two consecutive outs, but he then walked two in a row to get Abreu into the game. Abreu got Justin Foscue to fly out to end the rally and then worked a scoreless ninth while giving up a walk and a single. In all, three of the four outs Abreu recorded came on hard-hit balls. He might earn another save or two before Josh Hader returns, but he hardly seems worth picking up in mixed leagues at this point.
Kai-Wei Teng earned his first win as a starter by shutting out the Rangers over five innings with strong pitching numbers.
Teng's previous win came in his first relief appearance on March 28. Teng walked four tonight, but he allowed just two hits and two hard-hit balls. He might prove to be an option in deeper mixed leagues as he continues to build up as a starter. He's allowed just three homers and amassed a 30/12 K/BB in 31 innings to date. He'll face the Cubs next weekend.

That Walker has done a nice job cutting back on the strikeouts this season suggests he'll maintain a decent average going forward, but .317 was never realistic. His career-high average is .271, from the shortened 2020 season, and he finished in between .238 and .258 all five years since.

It's yet another strong outing for Martin, and if the season did somehow end after Saturday's outing, he might be the Cy Young favorite. Weird, but impressive. He struck out seven, and allowed just a solo homer in terms of run-prevention. His ERA lowered slightly to 1.61 from 1.62, and his K/BB improves to a video game-esque 59/10. He has to be in fantasy lineups next weekend against the Giants.
Munetaka Murakami hit two home runs to lead the White Sox to an 8-3 victory over the Cubs, bringing his season total to 17 homers.
Murakami hit two of the five homers the White Sox procured against a wholly ineffective Jameson Taillon. That brings the rookie's season total to 17, and he also drew a walk and scored a third run for good measure. Murakami's power is undeniable. Whether or not the severe swing-and-miss will come around to make that power not matter is still a question mark, but there's simply no denying that impact he's made to begin 2026.

He'll take a 2.01 ERA into next week's outing, which will probably come Friday against the Nationals.
Aroldis Chapman recorded his 10th save against the Braves, escaping a bases-loaded jam despite being hit on the ankle by a comebacker.
There wouldn't have been a jam, except Andruw Monasterio airmailed a throw from short to first on what should have been the final out of the game. Chapman then walked two to lead the bases. Ha-Seong Kim came up and hit a 104-mph comebacker off Chapman's right ankle. Fortunately, though, Chapman was able to gather himself, run down the ball and make the play at first. Chapman didn't seem to favor the ankle on his way off the field, so hopefully he won't miss any time. The save tonight was his 377th, moving him into a tie with Joe Nathan for 10th place on the all-time list.
Payton Tolle delivered an impressive pitching performance, limiting the Braves to two runs and four hits over eight innings with 85 pitches for a win.
Tolle needed just 85 pitches to get 24 outs tonight, finishing with four hits allowed, one walk and three strikeouts. He gave up a 421-foot homer to Drake Baldwin and had two flyouts that projected as homers in 15 and five ballparks, according to Statcast. Still, it was a pretty impressive showing, especially because he averaged the same 96.5 mph with his fastball in the eighth that he did in the first. Tolle is 2-2 with a 2.05 ERA through five turns, and he'll be a worthy mixed-league play next week against the Twins.
Willson Contreras went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to lead the Red Sox past the Braves 3-2, breaking out of a slump.
It's important to see Contreras back on the board again, as he had been 2-for-21 since leaving a May 6 game with a left-hand issue that caused him to temporarily switch bats. And that was separate from the right-hand contusion he sustained on a HBP in May 10. He hit the homer tonight 106 mph and also had a 113-mph groundball single.

He's compiled an impressive 2.43 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 39/11 K/BB ratio across 37 innings over seven starts this season. He'll face the Guardians his next time out on Thursday.

Kurtz has homered in three straight games after going 15 in a row without one. Tonight's was a 417-footer off Tyler Mahle. Since debuting last April, Kurtz has 44 homers, 115 RBI, 118 runs scored and 103 walks in 160 games. He's fanned 210 times, too, but that doesn't seem like much of a concern at this point.
Sung-Mun Song went 1-for-4 with an RBI groundout in the Padres' 2-0 win over the Mariners, continuing his early MLB stint with a .176 batting average.
The RBI came on a groundout in the seventh, making in a 2-0 game. Song had a basehit earlier, though, and he had a nice drive to the warning track for a flyout in the ninth. If only the game had been played in GABP or Yankee Stadium, rather than Petco, that might have been good for his first MLB home run. Song is batting .176/.300/.235 through his first 20 plate appearances.

He'll make his next start Wednesday at home against the White Sox.

Miller came into a 2-0 game with two outs in the eighth and gave up an infield single before striking out Connor Joe to end the rally. In the ninth, he walked J.P. Crawford to lead off the inning and gave up a one-out single to Cole Young, but he struck out the other three batters he faced. On the last of those, he retired Brendan Donovan on five pitches, only one of which was in the strike zone. Miller threw 34 pitches tonight, so he might get Saturday off. That would probably put Jason Adam in line for a save opportunity.

He struck out three and walked none. Vasquez surrendered 11 hard-hit balls, including nine over 100 mph, but nothing much fell in against him. Vasquez improved to 5-1 with a 2.68 ERA. He has a home start against the Dodgers coming up next week.
