Summary
Matt Brash, Seattle Mariners relief pitcher, is recovering from right lat inflammation. He was placed on the injured list on April 29 after leaving a game with the injury. Brash began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma in mid-May. In his first rehab outing on Thursday, he struck out all three batters faced while touching 96 mph. In his second rehab game, he struggled with command, walking two batters while striking out one, and showed some physical discomfort after fielding plays. The Mariners are taking a cautious approach with his return. Prior to injury, Brash had not allowed a run in 14 appearances in 2026 and posted a 2.47 ERA across 53 games in 2025. He is trending toward return but no setbacks have been reported.
