Kerry Carpenter, 28-year-old Detroit Tigers right fielder, was placed on the 10-day injured list on May 10, 2026, with a left AC joint sprain. The injury occurred on May 9 when Carpenter crashed into the right-field wall at Kaufmann Stadium while pursuing a Bobby Witt Jr. inside-the-park home run in Kansas City's 5-1 victory. He remained in the game initially but was removed prior to the third inning.
