Roman Anthony, 21-year-old Red Sox outfielder, placed on 10-day IL (retroactive to May 6) due to right wrist sprain suffered during Monday's game vs. Tigers. Anthony is optimistic about quick recovery and plans to return immediately when eligible on May 15. Despite strong 2025 rookie season (.292/.396/.463), Anthony has struggled early in 2026 with .229 average, 1 HR, and .675 OPS in 30 games. This is his second IL stint in as many seasons. Red Sox recalled Mickey Gasper from Triple-A Worcester.
