Kyle Stowers -- General News

General News sources for Kyle Stowers of the Miami Marlins

All-Star Kyle Stowers returned to action for the Miami Marlins on Sunday after a 247-day absence caused by multiple injuries. In his debut, Stowers faced an immediate high-pressure situation with the bases loaded and no outs in the first inning against Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski. A run scored on a wild pitch during his first at-bat, which ended when Stowers was hit by a 101.5 mph pitch to his right hand. He remained in the game and finished 2-for-3 with a double and single, also striking out once. The Marlins won 5-3 to snap a four-game losing streak. Stowers said he did not believe his hand was broken and felt good enough to continue playing. Stowers had completed a five-game rehab assignment with Jacksonville from April 10 onward, accumulating 19 plate appearances while working back from a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. During Spring Training, he had limited action with just 17 plate appearances in six games due to hamstring issues. The Marlins closely managed his return, having him play left field three times, serve as designated hitter once, and debut at first base during his final rehab game on Friday.
