Ildemaro Vargas went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI on Friday evening as the Diamondbacks vanquished the Rockies 9-1 at Coors Field.

The 34-year-old breakout star opened the scoring with an RBI single off of Kyle Freeland in the first. He then came around to score on a two-run single off the bat of Gabriel Moreno. Vargas then added an RBI single in the fourth that extended his club's lead to 7-1. He also singled in the seventh and scored on an RBI double by Moreno. He's having a dream season offensively, slashing .347/.369/.576 with seven homers and 30 RBI through his first 151 plate appearances on the season.
