Summary

Clayton Beeter, right-handed reliever for the Washington Nationals, was placed on the 15-day injured list on April 26, 2026 with right forearm soreness. An MRI came back negative, which is a positive sign. As of May 5, Beeter has been cleared to resume throwing off the mound and has progressed to throwing 15 pitches. By May 12, he was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at the Nationals' Florida Complex League affiliate. He is projected to return in mid- to late-May. Before the injury, Beeter had been solid with a 3.48 ERA across 10 appearances with 2 saves, though he struggled with command (9 strikeouts, 8 walks in 10.1 innings). He was presumed to be the team's primary closer and has been one of the most effective bullpen arms for Washington this season.
