Scouting Report: Bryce Montes De Oca
Washington Nationals | RP
Overall
Summary
Bryce Miller is being reinstated to the Seattle Mariners roster after missing spring training with an oblique strain. The right-hander completed a successful month-long rehab assignment, making four starts progressing from 1.2 innings to 5 innings. Miller maintained strong fastball velocity (96-98 mph) throughout his rehab and mixed in all his secondary pitches effectively. He will make his 2026 season debut on Wednesday against the Astros. The Mariners plan to initially use a six-man rotation before potentially transitioning to a piggyback situation with Luis Castillo. Miller has dealt with recurring injuries in back-to-back seasons, including elbow inflammation in 2025, but remained healthy to finish last season and contributed in the postseason.
