Andre Granillo, 25-year-old right-handed pitcher, was optioned to Triple-A Rochester by the Washington Nationals on May 5, 2026, after a poor performance in his first season with the organization. Acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals in early February 2026 in exchange for George Soriano, Granillo has struggled significantly in the majors with a 9.64 ERA and 2.25 WHIP across 8-9 appearances and 9.1 innings pitched. He allowed four earned runs over two innings in his final MLB appearance before demotion. Granillo has also struggled in Triple-A Rochester with 10 earned runs over 5.0 innings.
