Jacob Wilson, 24-year-old Athletics shortstop and 2025 AL Rookie of the Year runner-up, suffered a left shoulder dislocation/subluxation during the fifth inning of a 2-1 loss to the Orioles on May 11, 2026, while diving to cut off an infield single. He was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 12, 2026. Wilson will undergo shoulder rehabilitation with no timetable for return. This injury comes after Wilson signed a 7-year, $70MM extension in the offseason.
