Scouting Report: Brody Moore
St Louis Cardinals | SS
Overall
Summary
Dylan Moore, 33-year-old utility infielder/outfielder, was designated for assignment by the Philadelphia Phillies after failing to produce in a limited role. He signed a $1.45MM deal with performance bonuses but went 0-for-15 with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts in 15 plate appearances before being outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Moore has the right to elect free agency. Despite a solid track record with the Mariners (2020-2024: 43 HR, 105 wRC+, .206/.319/.383), his recent performance and age (33) have raised concerns about his ability to contribute at the MLB level.
Strengths
- Versatile defender capable of playing multiple positions (all outfield spots and most infield positions)
- Historical production with Mariners (43 HR in 1,397 PA from 2020-2024)
