Scouting Report: Kade Anderson
Seattle Mariners | SP
Overall
Summary
Kade Anderson, the Mariners' #3 overall pick from LSU in 2025, has dominated Double-A Arkansas in his first professional season. The 21-year-old left-handed pitcher started with a microscopic 0.37 ERA over his first five starts (38 K, 13 H, 4 BB in 24.1 IP), earning Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April. He recorded 11 strikeouts with no hits in his second start and opened with 11 consecutive scoreless innings. After one rough outing on May 15 (5 ER in 4 IP), his ERA rose to 1.85, but he maintains elite peripherals with a 0.76 WHIP, 51 K, and only 5 BB across 34 innings. Baseball America ranked him #9 overall prospect and #3 pitching prospect. He possesses four plus pitches (mid-90s fastball, wipeout slider, mid-80s changeup, sharp curve) with excellent command and polished mechanics. MLB debut could come as early as 2026 if the Mariners' injury situation warrants.
