Summary

Dennis Santana, Pittsburgh Pirates reliever, has struggled significantly in May 2026. Most recently, he allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits without recording an out in the 10th inning against the Phillies, taking the loss. He previously worked a scoreless seventh inning with a walk against the Diamondbacks. Santana has allowed multiple earned runs in three of his last seven appearances and hasn't recorded a save since April 15. He's lost the closer role to Gregory Soto and is unlikely to see many save opportunities in the near future given his poor performance.
