27-year-old infielder Alika Williams was traded from the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Oakland Athletics on May 16, 2026. Williams had not appeared in an MLB game since 2024 but earned the opportunity through strong Triple-A performance at Indianapolis, batting .317/.385/.467 with 2 home runs, 18 RBIs, and 19 runs scored across 135 plate appearances.
