Gerrit Cole is recovering from Tommy John surgery (March 2025) and is in the final stages of his minor league rehabilitation assignment. After six rehab starts, Cole is showing strong progress with improved velocity (averaging 97 mph, reaching 99.6 mph), excellent command (28 strikeouts to 3 walks over 28.2 innings), and competitive performance.
