Scouting Report: Tylor Megill
New York Mets | SP
Overall
Summary
Trevor Megill has made an impressive turnaround with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2026. After a rough start to the season with a 14.40 ERA and concerns about his role, Megill has completely turned things around. Over his last nine appearances, he has allowed just one earned run in nine innings pitched with an 11-to-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio. His overall ERA sits at 5.79 across 15 appearances, but this doesn't reflect his recent dominance. Since April 16, Megill has posted a 1.00 ERA with excellent ERA estimators (xERA 1.75, FIP 1.34, SIERA 2.21). He has reinvented himself by working around diminished fastball velocity (96.9 mph, down from 99 mph last May) and is now functioning as a productive setup man with four holds and an extra-innings save. His hard contact rate has improved significantly from 52.6% to 35.0%, and his strikeout rate has jumped to 33.3% with a walk rate of just 6.1%.
