Francisco Alvarez, 24-year-old Mets catcher, suffered a torn right meniscus in his right knee during the 6th inning of Tuesday's game against Detroit Tigers. MRI confirmed meniscus tear on Wednesday. Placed on 10-day IL with expected 6-8 week recovery timeline. This is Alvarez's fourth trip to the injured list since 2024.
