Summary
Addison Barger placed on 10-day IL on May 11, 2026 with right elbow joint inflammation sustained during his return game against the Los Angeles Angels on May 9. Barger made an immediate impact with a 101.5 mph throw from right field but developed elbow inflammation shortly after. MRI confirmed no structural damage, loose bodies, or ligament damage. Received cortisone injection and will be shut down from baseball activities for 3-4 days. This marks his second IL stint of the season after missing 33 days with right ankle sprain.
