Scouting Report: Bobby Miller
Los Angeles Dodgers | SP
Overall
Summary
Bryce Miller, 27-year-old right-hander for the Seattle Mariners, is being reinstated from the injured list after recovering from a left oblique strain suffered in spring training (retroactive to March 25). Miller made four successful rehab starts posting a 1.98 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 13.2 innings, including a dominant five-inning scoreless outing at 98 mph velocity. He is set to make his 2026 season debut against the Houston Astros. The Mariners will implement a six-man rotation initially with potential for a piggyback arrangement with Luis Castillo. Miller struggled in 2025 with a 5.68 ERA and 1.406 WHIP but showed resilience in the postseason (2.51 ERA over three starts). His return creates rotation depth but also presents a logjam with Emerson Hancock's surprising breakout success.
Strengths
- Successfully completed four rehab starts with impressive 1.98 ERA
- Demonstrated dominant velocity at 98 mph in recent outings
