Summary
Hunter Brown, 27-year-old RHP for the Houston Astros, suffered a Grade 2 right shoulder strain in early April 2026 and was placed on the 15-day IL, then transferred to the 60-day IL on May 9. Brown began throwing bullpen sessions on May 8 with positive results and is progressing through his throwing program. The Astros are planning for his return by mid-June. Brown was an All-Star in 2025 with a 12-9 record, 2.43 ERA, and 206 strikeouts. In 2026, he recorded 17 strikeouts across 10 2/3 innings in two starts before the injury.
