Summary
Brandon Walter is a Cleveland Guardians reliever recovering from a severe lat injury sustained in June 2025. He was on a rehab assignment in Triple-A Columbus in late April 2026 but was returned due to a viral illness that prevented him from pitching since April 24. He is expected to begin a new rehab stint once he returns to full strength. Walter was drafted 62nd overall in 2023 and made his MLB debut in summer 2024, pitching 8.2 scoreless innings. He combines a mid-to-high 90s fastball with a deadly slider but has struggled with control issues (6.75 BB/9 in 2025 minors, 4.76 BB/9 in 2026 rehab).
