Scouting Report: Taylor Snyder
Colorado Rockies | SS
Overall
Summary
Robby Snelling, the Marlins' No. 2 pitching prospect (ranked 33rd overall by MLB.com and 5th among left-handed pitching prospects), was placed on the 15-day injured list with a UCL sprain in his left elbow just one day after making his MLB debut on May 8, 2026. The 22-year-old left-hander allowed 3 runs over 5 innings in his debut against Washington. He reported discomfort following a bullpen session on May 7. The severity of the injury is undetermined, but UCL sprains often precede Tommy John surgery, which could sideline him for the remainder of 2026 and potentially most of 2027. Snelling was acquired from San Diego in the Tanner Scott trade in July 2024 and had posted a 1.86 ERA in Triple-A with 44 strikeouts in 29 innings before his promotion.
