Summary
Brendan Beck, 27-year-old right-handed pitcher and 2021 second-round draft pick out of Stanford, made his long-awaited MLB debut with the Yankees on May 7, 2026, against the Texas Rangers. After battling multiple elbow injuries (including Tommy John surgery and missing all of 2024), Beck finally achieved a full healthy season in 2025, throwing 131⅓ innings across Double-A and Triple-A. In his debut, he pitched three innings in relief, allowing two runs on two hits with three walks and one strikeout on 52 pitches. The Yankees won 9-2. Beck is known as a soft-tossing right-hander with plus command and a first-pitch strike rate over 70%. He ranks as the Yankees' No. 21 prospect for 2026.
