Scouting Report: Logan Allen
Cleveland Guardians | SP
Overall
Summary
Logan Webb, the Giants' Opening Day starter and two-time All-Star, was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 9, 2026, due to right knee bursitis. Webb had been dealing with the knee issue for an extended period but attempted to pitch through it, finally being removed after just four innings in a start against San Diego on May 7, allowing 6 earned runs. This marks his first IL stint since July 2021 (back injury) and ends a streak of 156 consecutive starts. Webb is eligible to return on May 21 and is expected to need the minimum time on the IL. His 2026 season has been disappointing with a 2-4 record, 5.06 ERA, and 1.396 WHIP through 8 starts, with opposing batters hitting .275 against him. The knee issue appears to have impacted his ability to fully utilize his delivery and locate pitches effectively.
