Franco Aleman, 25-year-old RHP, was recalled by the Cleveland Guardians from Triple-A Columbus for his MLB debut on May 8, 2026. The 6'6", 235-lb Cuban-born pitcher had an exceptional start to the 2026 season with a 0.00 ERA over 12 innings, 18 strikeouts, and a .077 opposing batting average. However, he was optioned back to Triple-A on May 13 after allowing a solo home run and walk in 2.2 innings of MLB action. Aleman has overcome significant injuries (lat strain in 2024, hernia surgery in 2025) to reach the majors.
