Summary
Jasson Domínguez suffered a low-grade AC sprain of his left shoulder after crashing into the left-field wall at Yankee Stadium while making a catch in the first inning on May 7, 2026. He was carted off the field and placed on the injured list. Initial concussion tests came back negative. Manager Aaron Boone indicated the injury will sideline him for "a few weeks." This is another setback for the 23-year-old outfielder who has dealt with multiple injuries including a torn right UCL and strained right oblique in previous seasons. The injury opened a roster spot for prospect Spencer Jones to make his MLB debut.
