Summary

Cooper Ingle is a 24-year-old catcher prospect (2023 4th-round pick, #125 overall) for the Cleveland Guardians currently playing Triple-A ball with Columbus Clippers. Recently returned from a hip injury and has been performing exceptionally well, slashing .408/.597/.755 with a 1.289 OPS in 72 plate appearances at Triple-A. Ingle has demonstrated rare on-base percentage skills with more walks than strikeouts in three consecutive seasons and an elite 30% walk rate. He's ranked #87 in Baseball America's Top 100 prospects and is considered one of the best catching prospects available. The Guardians acquired Patrick Bailey in a trade, but team leadership confirmed Ingle remains in their plans and is progressing well defensively. ETA for MLB promotion is late May/early June.
