Andrew Walters, Cleveland Guardians RHP, is recovering from right lat surgery performed in June 2025. He began a rehab assignment in Triple-A Columbus in late April 2026 but was sidelined by a viral illness starting April 24. He resumed rehab on May 12 and was activated off the 15-day IL on May 17, 2026, then optioned to Triple-A Columbus. Prior to his injury, Walters appeared in 2 games with Cleveland, allowing 2 earned runs on 2 hits with a 2:0 K:BB ratio over 1.1 innings. He was drafted 62nd overall in 2023 and had a quick ascent through the minors, pitching 8.2 scoreless innings in the majors in summer 2024 and contributing to postseason play.
