Scouting Report: Yunior Marte
Cincinnati Reds | RP
Overall
Summary
Yunior Marte, 22-year-old righthander in the Giants organization, has had an impressive start to the 2026 season with High-A Eugene. Through his first outing in May, he posted a 4-0 record with a 1.50 ERA, striking out 22 while walking 9 over 24 innings. His fastball reached 98 mph in April. Giants farm director Kyle Haines attributes much of his success to improved conditioning and physical development. Marte has shown significant improvements in velocity, command, breaking ball spin, and changeup development compared to last season. He threw back-to-back shutout performances (10 innings combined) with excellent control. The Giants acquired him from the Royals in a trade deadline deal last year.
