Scouting Report: Anthony Misiewicz
Cincinnati Reds | RP
Overall
Summary
Jacob Misiorowski, 24-year-old Milwaukee Brewers right-hander, is having an exceptional 2026 season with a 2.12 ERA and 80 strikeouts across 51 innings. He recently threw historic fastballs reaching 103.6 mph against the Yankees, setting records for fastest pitches by a starting pitcher since Statcast tracking began in 2008. He threw 10 pitches of 103+ mph and 41 pitches of 100+ mph in that outing. However, he suffered a right hamstring cramp in his previous start against Washington while pitching a no-hitter through 5.1 innings. The Brewers are managing his workload carefully due to his heavy innings load in 2025 (66 MLB innings plus minor league work), with concerns about the young power arm workload wall. He was removed while warming up for the 8th inning in a recent game against San Diego.
Strengths
- Elite strikeout rate leading NL at 13.97 K/9
- Historic velocity with multiple 103+ mph fastballs
