Scouting Report: Zach Davis
Chicago Cubs | CF
Overall
Summary
Zach McKinstry was activated off the injured list after sustaining a Grade 3 oblique tear off the pelvic bone on April 15 during three separate collisions against the Royals. Despite the severity of the injury (typically requiring 6-8 weeks recovery), McKinstry recovered remarkably quickly due to the location of the tear being favorable for baseball activities. He was able to throw immediately and reached 80% sprint speed by Day 6. Manager AJ Hinch praised his return and McKinstry was reinstated to play third base and bat eighth against the Red Sox.
Strengths
