Jhostynxon Garcia, 23-year-old Pirates prospect acquired from Boston Red Sox in December trade, was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis to boost the Pirates' ailing outfield. Garcia recently returned from lower back tightness and has shown exceptional power on his rehab assignment, hitting .375 (6 for 16) with 4 RBIs in 5 games at Indianapolis, including a three-homer game on May 12. He was promoted to the major league roster and started in right field against the St. Louis Cardinals. Garcia is rated as the Pirates' No. 4 overall prospect by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline.
