Overall
Summary
Tyler Glasnow was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 8, 2026, due to lower back spasms suffered during warm-ups in the second inning of his start against the Houston Astros on May 6. MRI results showed nothing significant. Glasnow has a history of recurring back spasms since his teenage years. Despite the injury, he was performing at an elite level through his first six starts of the 2026 season with a 3-0 record, 2.72 ERA, 47 strikeouts in 38.2 innings, and a 0.84 WHIP. He had just recorded his 1,000th career strikeout when the injury occurred. The Dodgers expect this to be a minimal IL stay, with Blake Snell being activated to cover his starts.
