Summary
Salvador Perez, 35-year-old veteran catcher for the Kansas City Royals, has been dealing with hip soreness since early May. He has been limited to designated hitter duties while recovering, with rookie Carter Jensen handling most catching responsibilities. Perez returned to catching on May 6 after serving primarily as DH for over a week. Manager Matt Quatraro indicated the team will monitor his catching work day-by-day.
