Matt Brash, Seattle Mariners relief pitcher, is recovering from right lat inflammation sustained on April 29, 2026. He began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma in mid-May. In his first rehab outing, Brash struck out all three batters faced and touched 96 mph. In his second outing, he showed some command issues (2 walks) and displayed grimaces suggesting discomfort, but left under his own power after 23 pitches. The Mariners are taking a cautious approach with his return. Brash was previously performing at an elite level with a 2.47 ERA in 2025 and had not allowed a run in 14 appearances in 2026 before injury.
