Matt Brash, 28-year-old relief pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, is dealing with right lat inflammation. He landed on the 15-day injured list at the beginning of May. As of mid-May, Brash has progressed through his rehab protocol - beginning with playing catch on May 5th, clearing a bullpen session on May 11th, and beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on May 14th. Before the injury, Brash had not allowed a run in 14 appearances in 2026 and posted a stellar 2.47 ERA across 53 games in 2025. The Mariners are hopeful he can return soon assuming no setbacks occur. He is trending in the right direction and could return soon.
