Summary
Josh Smith (Texas Rangers second baseman) was placed on the 10-day IL on May 4, 2026 with a right glute strain. While rehabbing, he developed wrist inflammation that will delay his return by at least a few days beyond the May 15 eligibility date. Backup infielders Ezequiel Duran and Justin Foscue have performed well in his absence.
