Scouting Report: Hunter Parsons
Chicago Cubs | RP
Overall
Summary
Cubs right-hander Hunter Harvey has suffered a setback in his recovery from triceps inflammation, with an MRI revealing a stress reaction in his triceps area. He will be out of action for at least another month. Harvey last pitched on April 8 and was initially placed on the 15-day IL on April 9. The Cubs are likely to move him to the 60-day IL. Harvey has a long history of injuries throughout his career, having missed significant time with various ailments since his 2019 debut. In 2025, he pitched only 10 2/3 innings with the Royals due to a teres major strain and Grade 2 adductor strain. The Cubs signed him to a one-year, $6.5MM deal, but he posted a 6.75 ERA over four innings before the triceps issue emerged.
