Jonathan Hernández, a 29-year-old right-handed pitcher, was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers to a major league deal for bullpen depth ahead of their series against the San Diego Padres. Hernández had a 4.80 ERA in 13 games for Triple-A Lehigh Valley (22 K, 5 BB in 15 IP) before opting out of his Phillies minor league contract. He has pitched parts of five years in the majors (2019-24) with the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners, posting a 4.29 ERA and 4.45 FIP in 127 career games and 153 innings (150 K, 81 BB).
