Summary

Daz Cameron, a former MLB outfielder now playing for the Doosan Bears in the KBO, experienced an early-season batting slump but has made a dramatic turnaround. After striking out 4 times on April 5 and posting a .211 average through April 11, Cameron broke out on April 19 and has been one of the hottest hitters in the KBO since. He recorded a 10-game hitting streak to close April, raising his average to .287, and continued strong into May with a .302 average. Most impressively, Cameron has gone from 0-for-20 with runners in scoring position through April 24 to 7-for-11 with 11 RBIs in that situation since. He has also made exceptional defensive plays, including a diving catch in right field. Manager Kim Won-hyong praised Cameron's adjustment period and noted his excellent spring training performance. Cameron attributes his success to learning to recognize and wait for specific pitches while adapting his swing mechanics.
