Scouting Report: Aaron Rund
Chicago Cubs | RP
Overall
Summary
Carlos Rodón underwent left elbow surgery in October 2025 to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur. After a slow recovery and rehab assignment starting late April, he is on track to make his 2026 MLB debut on May 6 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Despite a rough final rehab outing (6.1 IP, 5 ER), Rodón built up to full strength with 83 pitches. He is being activated off the 15-day injured list to fill a mid-rotation role for the Yankees, who are 25-11 and leading the AL East. Rodón was a three-time All-Star in 2025 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 203 strikeouts over 195.1 innings.
