Francisco Alvarez, 24-year-old Mets catcher, suffered a right knee meniscus tear on May 13, 2026 during the sixth inning of a game against the Tigers. Imaging confirmed the injury, and he was placed on the 10-day injured list with an expected 6-8 week recovery timeline requiring surgery.
