Scouting Report: Ha-Seong Kim
Atlanta Braves | SS
Overall
Summary
Ha-Seong Kim was activated from the injured list on May 11, 2026, after missing the entire season due to a torn tendon in his right middle finger suffered in January. The 30-year-old shortstop signed a one-year, $20MM deal with the Braves in December after a strong finish to the 2025 season. Kim performed well during his rehab assignment, hitting .286 in nine games. However, his return to MLB action has been challenging, going hitless in his first four games with a .053 batting average. Despite offensive struggles, Kim's elite defense has been on full display, showcasing the Gold Glove-caliber play that made him the 2023 NL Gold Glove winner at the utility spot. He is expected to be the Braves' primary shortstop going forward.
Strengths
