Summary
Henry Bolte, the Athletics' No. 5 prospect and 2022 second-round pick, has been called up to MLB after an exceptional Triple-A performance. The 22-year-old outfielder has been baseball's hottest hitter in the minors, recording 12 consecutive hits and posting a .348/.418/.658 slash line with 12 home runs, 17 stolen bases, and a 157 wRC+ in 37 Triple-A games. He led the Pacific Coast League in runs (41), hits (55), and home runs (12). Bolte has significantly improved his strikeout rate from 33% to 22% this season and is averaging 90.4 mph exit velocity with a 43% hard-hit rate. He will provide depth to the A's outfield and is expected to see regular playing time, primarily in right field initially.
