Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Foster Griffin, 30-year-old left-handed starter for the Washington Nationals, has made an impressive comeback after three seasons in Japan. Through eight starts, Griffin leads all MLB left-handed starters with a 2.12 ERA and has posted a 4-1 record with 42 strikeouts over 46.2 innings. He features a unique seven-pitch arsenal (cutter, 4-seam fastball, sweeper, sinker, changeup, curveball, splitter) with outstanding command and the ability to throw any pitch to either handedness. Recent performances include a dominant outing against Miami (9 K's, 2 ER over 7 IP) and a rough start in Cincinnati (9 ER allowed).
