Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Jackson Holliday, the Baltimore Orioles' 22-year-old infielder and former first overall pick, fractured his right hamate bone on February 6 during spring training and underwent surgery on February 12. After multiple setbacks and rehab assignment pauses due to lingering soreness, Holliday is beginning his third minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake. He will receive reps at third base during this assignment to add positional versatility. Holliday has struggled at the plate in rehab (.176/.250/.235 in 14 games) and has yet to make his 2026 season debut. The Orioles are cautiously optimistic he could return in May if he progresses without discomfort.
