Jackson Goddard

Jackson Holliday, the 2022 first overall pick, has missed the entire 2026 season recovering from a fractured right hamate bone suffered on February 6 during spring training. After undergoing surgery on February 12, his rehabilitation has been complicated by multiple setbacks including lingering pain and overcompensation issues in his wrist. He has been on three separate minor league rehab assignments with the Double-A Chesapeake Baysox, with two being paused due to renewed soreness. Most recently, he resumed his rehab assignment at Double-A and has shown some positive signs including a triple and home run in recent games. The Orioles are exploring positional versatility by having him take reps at third base during rehab, though he has primarily been a second baseman at the major league level. His 2025 performance showed improvement (.242/.314/.375, 17 HR, 55 RBI in 149 games), but defensive metrics have been concerning with -10 DRS and -8 OAA at second base.
