Logan Porter, 30-year-old catcher for the San Francisco Giants, was called up from Triple-A Sacramento on May 9, 2026 following the trade of Patrick Bailey. Porter spent the entire 2026 season in the minors with a poor .520 OPS through 42 plate appearances. He appeared in two games with the Giants but did not record a plate appearance, serving as a third catcher. He was optioned back to Triple-A Sacramento on May 11, 2026, when Harrison Bader was activated from the injured list. Porter is expected to serve as a depth piece behind Jesus Rodriguez until Daniel Susac returns from an elbow injury.
