Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Tommy Kahnle, 36-year-old veteran reliever, has been transferred to the 60-day injured list with right biceps tendinitis suffered in early March during spring training. After returning to the Yankees for a second stint in 2023-2024, Kahnle subsequently signed with the Boston Red Sox. He exercised an assignment clause in May 2026 to test the free agent market but was not claimed by any team and remains with Triple-A Worcester. Kahnle has a history of significant injuries, including Tommy John surgery in 2020 and right elbow inflammation that caused him to miss the remainder of the 2024 season with the Dodgers after pitching in only 10 games.
