32-year-old right-handed pitcher Jacob Waguespack was re-signed by the Milwaukee Brewers to a minor league deal after being released on May 4, 2026. He had been pitching effectively for Triple-A Nashville with a 2.25-2.45 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 16 innings before his release. After exploring free agency for six days without securing an MLB opportunity, he returned to the Brewers organization and was assigned to their Arizona Complex League for a brief tune-up before returning to Nashville. Waguespack last pitched in the majors in 2024 with the Tampa Bay Rays and has limited MLB experience (100+ innings across three partial seasons with Toronto and Tampa Bay).
